Most of the film consists of performances by a wide variety of rock-groups in various clubs and rehearsing places in Reykjavík, as well as interviews with members of the groups representing different views on such features of the rock scene as sex, drugs and politics. 19 groups appear in the film, showing a remarkable range of styles and attitudes. The soundtrack is in Dolby-stereo.
