This band was known as Hljomar in Iceland but changed their name to Thor's Hammer when they tried to break big in Britain.

This was the first Icelandic band to write it's own music and the first Beatles-inspired group. Their golden years in Iceland was from 1964 - 1969 when they evolved into a band called Trubrot.
