VOCES THULES was formed in the year 1992. The ensemble consits of six male singers who have studied in Reykjavik, London and Vienna, specialising in Icelandic medieval and contemporary music.

Apart from working with Voces Thules the members are buisy with their individual carriers as instrumentalists and singers. Voces Thules have been invited to perform in various international festivals e.g. in the 20th anniversary of the well known Utrecht Early Music Festival in Holland, and last year at the 50th anniversary of The Bergen International Festival, where Voces Thules performed two concerts with medieval mucic from the Icelandic manuscripts. T

he ensemble has recorded for radio and television and are now in the final stages of recording the long pondered and extensive „Office of St. Thorlak“, the only Icelandic saint, from a manuscript around 1400. A specialist in medieval art is designing the package which will include 4 CDs published at the end of 2003.
